Portsmouth NH Homes - Top 3 Home Improvement Trends
As a
professional New Hampshire Maine REALTOR, I
frequently get asked questions about remodelling homes. Some
potential home sellers go back and forth between
wanting to sell homes or making some home
improvements and staying put in their home. I've recently read
several articles that talked about the top home
improvement trends for this year, and most of them
mentioned pretty much the same items. There are a number of websites
that have some great home resource and project planning information
for all areas of your home -
HGTV,
Lowe's,
Service Magic, etc.

AT HOME in Dover New Hampshire
Dover
is located at the southern tip of Strafford
County, right between the Cocheco and Bellamy
Rivers, and is part of the general Seacoast NH
areas.
Dover NH was settled a few years ago, way
back in 1623, and at that time, it was one of
the first three communities established in NH.
Originally called Hilton's Point, after the
person who led the group of Englishmen who
landed at Dover Point, it was later named Dover
after Dover, England. The population back in
the very first census poll was 1,998 residents
in 1790.
Today, the
population is just about 28,800.

Greenland is a small town right next to
Portsmouth and Stratham. The total geographical size of
Greenland is only 10.5 square miles, and the current
population is about 3,400 residents. Quaint and charming,
Greenland was originally a
parish of Portsmouth dating
back to 1638. Greenland
came into its own in 1721,
receiving "full town
privileges" which meant
being able to collect taxes
from its residents, among
other things. Imagine,
collecting taxes from
residents....More..

AT HOME in New Castle NH
As you can see from
the sign that greets you when you drive into
New Castle New Hampshire, you're driving
onto a very quaint and charming island, dating
back to the early 1600's. There are a good
number of homes on this cluster of small islands

lived in still. From the narrow winding streets,
you'll see some really stunning antique homes,
gorgeous water views of the Piscataqua River or
the back channel, and a slightly modern day view
of what life back then might have been like.
