Super Memorial Day Meme 2008
Have you ever heard of a
"meme"? If not, you're likely not alone, and if you
have, well then you know the fun these can be to
read. It's the internet's version of helping readers
to get to know a little more about the person who
was "memed", and this time around, thanks to
Mariana Wagner of Colorado Springs Real
Estate and
Laurie Manny of Long Beach Real Estate,
I was 'memed'. Dare I say 'thank you Mariana'and
Laurie?!? ;-) There are two me-s in meme
because it's all about me. Meme's are the perfect
way to let other bloggers know about you, let your
audience know about you and get to know and relate
to other bloggers, expand your network and watch
your sphere of influence expand outwards. If you
ever posed the question to yourself, "how many
degrees are between me and Kevin Bacon?" this is the
way to find out.

Portsmouth New Hampshire Real Estate - Seacoast Sunday Scenes - Prescott
Park
Living here in Portsmouth NH is
just wonderful! We live along the beautiful 17 mile
coast of the Atlantic Oceen, we have bodies of water
all around us, our great highways can get us into
Boston or Portland Maine in under an hour, the
mountains are a quick drive away, and we have all
kinds of things to do right here in the "Port
City" of Portsmouth!
One of the things that the local residents and
visitors alike love is
our park along the waterfront - Prescott Park.
The flowers and plants here are simply beyond
description, and must be seen in person to fully
appreciate just how beautiful they are. What a
gorgeous place to while away the time with friends
and family, or simply for some time by yourself
among wonderful surroundings.

Portsmouth NH Real Estate - New Hampshire's Old Man of the Mountains
Each Sunday, I usually
do my
˜Seacoast Sunday Scenes post, but today, I
wanted to pay tribute to New Hampshire’s beloved
state logo - our ˜Old Man of the
Mountains. Five years ago yesterday,
May 3rd, the rock formations that created the ˜Old
Man of the Mountains profile slid into
history and fell at the basin of Cannon mountain.
Sometime between midnight and about 2-3am on the
morning of May 3, 2003, he slid down the slopes, and
when the fog lifted that morning, he was really
gone.

Portsmouth NH Real Estate - Seacoast Sunday Scenes - Kittery Maine
Waterfront
What a gorgeous area of
the country Im so fortunate to live in! I live here
in
Portsmouth New Hampshire, which is
right on the border of New Hampshire and Maine,
and were also here along the tiny coast of New
Hampshire.
Its just beautiful here, and we have so much to do
and see and experience, both in coastal NH and
southern Maine coastal areas. Being on the
coast, we get to enjoy the soothing sights and
sounds of coastal living every day, if we choose
to. My favorite drives are those that hug the
coastline in both New Hampshire and Maine
Seacoast areas.

Portsmouth NH Homes and Condos - Seacoast Sunday Scenes - Historic Strawbery
Banke Museum
Living here in
Portsmouth New Hampshire, we are surrounded by history.
We have homes and buildings here that date back to the 1600s, and many of
them are still being lived in. No doubt, changes have been made numerous
times inside! We also happen to have an outdoor history museum here that
features 375 years of lfe here in Portsmouth.
Strawbery Banke Museum traces the history of this area of Portsmouth NH,
and is said to be the oldest continuously occupied areas of the country.
This beautiful outdoor museum covers 10 acres right in the heart of the
city, and is across the street from the banks of the Piscataqua River.

Portsmouth NH Homes and Condos - Seacoast Sunday Scenes - Downtown
Portsmouth
I hope you'll enjoy
these pictures today that show up our beautiful and
historic downtown Portsmouth New Hampshire!
We have a lot of old brick buildings downtown, most
are the homes of restaurants, shops, galleries,
boutiques, and more. Those are on the street
level floors, and most everything above the street
level are residences - condos and apartments, with
a few offices mixed in. If you love being
right in the heart of all the action, then you'll
love living in
Portsmouth's Market Square area,
which is the heart of downtown.

Portsmouth NH Real Estate - Seacoast Sunday Scenes
Last Sunday, I decided
to put up a post showing some scenes from around the
New Hampshire and Maine Seacoast areas.
I started off with historic Portsmouth NH
churches last week, it was Sunday and it was
Easter, too, so I thought that appropriate. This
Sunday, I thought I'd show you some of the wonderful
lighthouses we have here along the coast of
New Hampshire and along southern Maine's
coastline.

Portsmouth New Hampshire Real Estate - Sunday Seacoast Scenes
For readers of my
New Hampshire Maine Real Estate blog, I thought I would
take one post each Sunday and show you some scenes around the
Seacoast area. For those who live here, you'll likely
recognize most of what will show up here, and for those who don't yet live
here, this will show you a little glimpse of what awaits you. Since today is
Easter Sunday, I thought I'd show you some of the beautiful old historic
churches we have here around
Portsmouth NH.
